Exam Preparation

I am now in that stage in school where they start giving you pre-GCSE papers so 'you feel more confident to know the ability that you are going to have to live up to'
And through the months I have struggled to find a revision method but I have only just found one that really helps me, I don't know if any of you have heard of it but it is called a 'mind map'?! And I like to add loads of colours to it so..... I went out to a few shops and basically did a revision haul.
Some of the things I bought are:
-Stabilo 10 pack fine liner-Asda-£3
-Exercise book/ note book- Paperchase- £6
-Sticky notes-Amazon-£3
-Page markers-Amazon-£4.94
-2016 Diary- Paperchase-£8

The reason i got my diary now is so that i can plan ahead because as you should know from my previous blog posts i've got anxiety and everything has to be planned and sorted or otherwise i go on stress mode ( if that makes sense?) so, so far I have written exams that are happening in the new year, blog posts and any further important information that i need to know.

When revising I become very anxious and stressed and start thinking things like i'm going to fail i'm not doing well enough blah blah blah, so to stop myself getting like that, I revise for half and hour and then just go and do something completely different i.e. go and watch youtube, go for a walk, go to meet your friends in the park and then come back to the revision after half an hour and start again.

Usually in the first half hour I draw out my mind map and add they key information that I need to revise. The next half hour of revision I look through the mind map and add/remove any information and then for the last half an hour I keep my phone downstairs so I have no distraction and I just revise from the start to the end of that half an hour and you know what, them half hour breaks really help!!

I hope you enjoyed this post and any information I have said can benefit you in any way.
